STYLE TOUR: the GEORGIA

STYLE TOUR: the GEORGIA

STYLE TOUR: the GEORGIA

Welcome to our second Style Tour!!! Today we're going to take a tour through a relatively new style in our catalogue, the lovely best-selling Georgia (who happens to be on sale this week!)
Georgia fits in so well in the KAD mix as a truly one-size-fits-many style. Georgia has incredible volume and an easy loose shape, so this dress looks incredible on so many bodies, from XXS to XXL!!! The gathered collar and button front placket makes the Georgia even more flexible fit and gives you options when wearing for plunging neckline or a more close-fitting look. Georgia has big side pockets, of course! The sleeves are bracelet length - so you can wear that statement chunky wrist cuff and show it off in this dress, no problem. You can also roll up your sleeves and stack a whole slew of bangles if you want! Georgia is a nice long length, very flowy on a windy day! Georgia is also a very handy place to change into your swimsuit just saying!
Georgia is a dress that you can just pull over your head and be ready to get out there- one of my KAD missions is to make stylish SUPER effortless-- one-and-done dressing! Our time is precious, and I personally do not want to spend any of it fussing about my outfit!!! You can of course layer and accessorize, totally fun, but you can also literally just slip this dress on and you are good to go. It is elegant enough for any party but also casual enough for a walk in the park or a cafe date! I value versatility in my clothing-- fewer but better pieces-- that can be every day, work AND party (and sleepwear if necc! train and plane comfort right here!)
Georgia is made with our signature super extra unbelievably soft organic cotton satin, block printed by hand with earth friendly inks by fair trade artisans in Rajasthan. The buttons are shell and the seams are french! Georgia is built to last.
Georgia (and the Shary-- more on Shary in future style tour!)-- which was inspired by the classic artist's smock like this one on Gustav Klimt:
The Georgia dress is named in homage to the painter Georgia O'Keeffe- we love her giant flower paintings
and her beautiful desert landscapes-
and also her incredible presence as an older woman artist - super inspiring!!
I'm also inspired by her desert adobe home- have you seen pix of her kitchen pantry? ADORE SO MUCH!!
I also really love her spare, streamlined personal fashion style-- and I think the Georgia dress would fit in nicely in her wardrobe in black and white hand-drawn navy stripe or in the wide midnight stripe!
